NASA FIRMS

Provider: NASA Earth Science Data Systems / LANCE. Dataset: configurable VIIRS or MODIS active fire products. Format: area CSV transformed to WGS84 GeoJSON points. Coverage depends on product and requested acquisition dates. Each stored record includes product, original fields and retrieval timestamp.

Area API · Product documentation and current usage terms. Cite NASA FIRMS and the underlying product when sharing analyses. The hosted database contains imported observations; inspect the displayed acquisition period.

Administrative boundaries

State polygons are user-supplied licensed files. The importer requires provider, source URL and licence, preserves retrieval time and transforms declared coordinates to EPSG:4326. No boundary dataset is bundled.

JAS / MyEQMS station readings

The official public map service supplies latest station IPU/API values, provider categories, coordinates and timestamps. Snapshots are stored in hosted persistent storage and refreshed at most every five minutes. PM2.5 and PM10 concentrations are not supplied by this endpoint. These readings are independent of the hotspot date filters. Provider timestamps are displayed as encoded; their observational timezone requires confirmation.

Official JAS portal and source context. Public access does not establish redistribution rights; review provider terms for publication.

NASA MAIAC aerosol imagery

NASA GIBS serves daily MODIS Terra/Aqua MAIAC aerosol optical depth browse imagery, using a separate selected date. Latest availability is read from provider capabilities. Source colours and legend represent dimensionless column aerosol optical depth. Cloud and missing retrievals leave gaps. This is imagery, not downloaded numeric AOD or surface PM2.5.

Open-Meteo model weather

Selected-location current model wind at 10 m and a 24-hour forecast window provide meteorological context. Units and UTC valid time are displayed. Direction denotes where wind comes from; the map arrow points toward flow. This is model output, independent of hotspot/AOD dates, and does not establish smoke transport.

Planned sources

PM2.5 concentrations, historical wind alignment and validated risk scores remain planned.
